United Deaf Ministries is hosting the Fourth Deaf Ministry Awards program October 28, 2017 at Gallaudet University Ole Jim. We are accepting nominations for the following categories:
Interpreter of the Year:
Criteria: This award goes to the individual who have demonstrated unselfish service, incredible availability and exceptional spirit and service to their ministry and the community.
Ministry of the Year
Criteria: This award is presented to the Deaf ministry that has impacted their church, community and congregation in a profound way by insuring access, cultural awareness in an open and positive environment.
Ministry Leader of the Year
Criteria: This award highlights the Ministry leader who has work tirelessly and consistently to create opportunities, coordination and access to the Deaf and hearing members.
Pastor's Heart Award
Criteria: This award recognizes the Pastor of the church who has demonstrated an exceptional interest and advocacy to the Deaf ministry and the Deaf community by insuring support, encouragement and special interest in the Deaf ministry and/or Deaf community.
Nominations must be in writing identifying the award category, description of the persons attributes and a statement of why this person should be considered.
